Our Facilitators

I am Samira, a dance educator, and director. My life’s work in movement is the amazing Cairo Fusion Dance Co. of Boise. I am well-versed in many genres of dance, but my roots lie in Old School Tribal and folkloric Middle Eastern styles. In the early 2000s, as a member of the exceptional band, Nada Brahma, I began to deepen my movement vocabulary and depth, venturing into African, Far Eastern, and Spanish stylizations. In recent years, my journey has lead me to infuse my dance and instruction with deeper intention and awareness, utilizing cosmic cycles, lifeforce flow, Eastern medicine, mudras, and meditation. My teaching focuses heavily on energetic awareness, manipulation, intention, and creation. I find intense importance in helping my students expand their self-awareness, and self-love.
